Meet Harper
Harper is the town's romantic GPS — warm, funny, sharp, and utterly unafraid to speak her mind. She runs Prairie Rose Feed & Supply with brisk efficiency, knows everyone's business, and has nudged half her family toward the people they were meant to find. What she's less eager to examine is why managing everyone else's heart keeps the question of her own so conveniently off the table. The feed store is her identity — she built it, she runs it, she is it — and a woman that busy and that necessary isn't lonely. She's just not looking. Her real fear runs quieter: that if she ever stopped being useful, stopped being the one with the answers, there'd be nothing left worth loving underneath. She gives wonderful advice about letting people in. She has never once taken it.
The look: Blonde, with long wavy hair and an easy, knowing smile — warm and quick and a little wry. She dresses for a day on her feet at the store, flannel and denim and a worn belt, and she's most herself out by the back paddock with Old Pete, the donkey who's heard every secret she won't say out loud.
The heart of her story
When the fathers of Cottonwood Ridge cook up a fake date to the town gala, the whole town believes it — and Harper, who fixes everyone else's love life, suddenly can't manage her own. Convince Me, Cowboy is the story of a woman who controls her world so nothing can be taken from her, learning that being truly known — being asked for, not managed — might be worth the risk of being seen. For the family's matchmaker, the hardest match to make is the one she never planned: her own.
